  23. Please copy all these files to the same directory on the hard disk, and put
  24. this directory on the search path. Files 1-5 MUST be in the same directory
  25. for editor byx to work. To use, type:
  26.     byx readme.chn
  27. where "readme.chn" can be replaced by any other filename.
  28. If this program does not work on your computer, most likely, the monitor is
  29. not compatible.  This program requires EGA or higher for color display, or
  30. Hercules Graphics card for monochrome display. To my knowledge, the following
  31. displays are not compatible:
  32.     IBM monochrome
  33.     Compaq monochrome
  34.     AT & T 
  35.     color graphics adaptor
  36.     Hercules Color Card
  37. If any of the files 1 - 5 does not exit, the program also won't work. Another
  38. possibility is that memory is not enough, in this case, you should receive a
  39. message from the program. You may think you have no less than 512K, but these
  40. memory may be occupied by some stay-resident program already, to check, type
  41.     chkdsk
  42. after some disk activity, you will get a summary of disk information, the last
  43. two line tell you how much memory you have, and how much is free. You must
  44. have at least 380K free memory for this program to work properly.
  45. If you have a 9-pin dot-matrix printer, you can print readme.chn by typing
  46.     dayin9 readme.chn
  47. if it doesn't work, try
  48.     cprint /ibm readme.chn
  49. if you have an Epson Compatible 24-pin printer, type
  50.     dayin24 /ni readme.chn
  51. Panasonic, NEC, Brother, Citizen, have EPSON emulation. IBM, Toshiba do not.
  52. There is a limit on size of file you can edit:    64K
  53. Key definition imitates English text editor Epsilon (an Emacs), though not as
